Katie Foster is a poet, translator, and artist living in Lawrence, KS. She received her BA from Bennington College, where she studied literature and French. She recently completed her MFA in Literary Arts at Brown University.
Her poems have appeared in print and online. Her visual work has been shown in two recent popup shows in New York City. Her body of work is concerned with dreams, houses, ways of reading, ways of seeing, animals, the horizon, etcetera.
She has worked in the world of words in many ways: as a youth poetry instructor at Lighthouse Writer’s Workshop in Denver, as a poetry editor for Witchcraft Magazine, as an editorial intern at BOMB Magazine, and as a graduate student teacher at Brown. She teaches writing classes at the Lawrence Arts Center.
